The portal for foreigners in France enhances accessibility with an audio reader

The Portal for foreigners in France continues its commitment to digital accessibility. To make information easier to access for all users, an audio reader is now available throughout the entire site.
 

Thanks to this new tool, you can listen to the content of the pages. This feature is especially useful for:

• people with reading or vision difficulties,
• those who are not yet fully proficient in written French,
• or simply those who prefer to listen to the information.

How does it work?

Go to any page and click on the “speaker” button at the top right. Here is an example on the “Applying for asylum in France” page.

The audio reader starts automatically in the language of the page (French or English). You can stop it and adjust the reading speed or volume according to your needs.

With this new feature, the Foreigners’ Portal in France strengthens its goal: to make administrative procedures simpler and more accessible to everyone, regardless of language skills or individual needs.
