Competence Operators (OPCOs) are organizations that support companies and professional sectors in developing skills. They help fund apprenticeships and professionalization contracts, support the development of professional certifications, and assist companies, particularly SMEs, in identifying and addressing their training needs.

To learn more about OPCOs and find their contact details, visit the French Ministry of Labour website.

Access to rights and administrative procedures

The advisors at France Services centres help users complete their administrative procedures linked to 12 national partners: CAF, CPAM, CARSAT, Chèque énergie, Finances publiques, France Rénov’, France Titres, France Travail, La Poste, Urssaf, MSA, and Point Justice.

They can help your employee resolve complex situations by liaising with a contact person within these partner networks, and can also support them in using digital tools (creating an email address, scanning documents needed for administrative applications, etc.).

The Municipal Social Action Center (CCAS) is a public institution of the municipality, chaired by the mayor. It provides information, guidance, and assistance with applications for statutory social assistance, and implements local initiatives (emergency aid, food assistance, registered address services) to support residents in need. When there is no CCAS, particularly in municipalities with fewer than 1,500 residents, you should contact the town hall directly or the intermunicipal authority if it has an Intermunicipal Social Action Center (CIAS).

For companies recruiting foreign workers, Adate acts as a strategic partner, helping to simplify both hiring and workforce integration.

In particular, Adate provides employers with a practical resource: the Adate Employer Toolkit. This toolkit includes procedural fact sheets, residence permit tracking templates, and sample work authorization request forms, helping employers manage administrative requirements more efficiently.

Learning french and living in France

Did you know? The French Office for Immigration and Integration (OFII) offers free French language training to newly arrived immigrants as part of the reception and integration process. This training can help them achieve CEFR level A2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

When you are a foreign national or of foreign origin, mastering the French language is essential for successful long-term integration.Visuel du flyer de la plateforme ALF

Since 2011, FIT has been running the ALF platform (Apprendre le français / Learn French), co-funded by the European Union. As a one-stop service, this platform enables anyone to assess their French language level and, if needed, access language training tailored to their personal or professional goals.

If the person you are looking for a language training course or language learning solution for is a French speaker, a French as a Foreign Language (FLE) approach is generally not appropriate. In this case, you can contact the CRI Auvergne to identify solutions better suited to their needs.
